Schlosser Filelister - suggestions 2007-01-28 23:04:33
Thank you very much for this really nice program. It is simple and very well-arranged.

I have a suggestion 2 options to be added for its improvement, so that IMHO it remaining small and simple, to be more convenient:

1. An option the user to choose the indent size (appearance menu) - now it is by default 2 nonbreaking
spaces for the first subfolders level, 4 for the next sublevel, 6 for the next, etc. So that the indent step now is 2 nonbreaking spaces. It will be very nice if the user can choose higher steps - for instance 3, 4, etc.

2. An option giving the user an opportunity to choose the background color and the font color of the HTML folder list, and also an option to choose between HTML text and HTML table list.

Nice to hear, your suggestions are noted. A more advanced HTML list would be quite nice, a more detailed table would enable a lot of new information to be added to the list too. It's actually been in my mind that it would be nice with a table like view and an option to choose what columns are to be visible and also some style configuration (color, font, size etc).

An indent size configuration should be easily added.

I will take a look at this when I've finished my vacation, I'll be out travelling for three months but something will pop out in may perhaps.

Filelister 2.2 is an excellent little application.

I'm using it right this minute to generate a list of files, then make a word tally from the long list (tally using a different program, of course).

Any improvements that can be incorporated would be appreciated.

Hope your vacation went well.
