Quan Auto detect files or folder comparasion 2019-09-03 02:25:37
From the file explorer tool for example such as Total Commander or Double Commander, I trigger Diffinity to compare files or folder by command line.
The current command line for files is: Diffinity.exe %left% %right%.
With new version supported folder comparison, it doesn't know that is a folder and just treat as file and will fail to load.

I suggest that it should check the input parameter is file or folder and then open the correct comparison type.

Reference: Winmerge could auto detect the parameter.

Thanks for the feedback, this has now been fixed for the next version!

In the current version (0.9.0.0) is it possible to trigger a folder comparison from the command line? If so, what is the syntax?

Admin:
You can send along -folderDiff as launch argument to start Diffinity in folder diff view.

Example:
diffinity.exe "c:\folder1" "c:\folder2" -folderDiff

or for an empty folder diff:
diffinity.exe "" "" -folderDiff

That works great, thank you!
