DFH Windows substitute drives 2017-12-13 15:14:29
The file open and save dialog in Diffinity does not find any drive letters the user may have created using the SUBST command the in Windows CLI. It's the first program I have ever come across that failed to see these drives.

This is a serious deficiency.

All Windows apps ought to be compatible with substitute drive letters.

We use standard windows file dialogs so I would be surprised if they differed from most other programs, I'll investigate, thanks for letting us know.

After a reboot, Diffinity did recognise substitute drives.

It must be that it did not recognise existing substitute drives just after installation.
