Pirx NFOPad request - improved viewer mode 2011-11-20 19:04:27
Hello

When the program is used in viewer mode ("Allow Changes To Text" unchecked), there would be great to have 2 features:
- direct scrolling - text cursor invisible, and scrolling on cursor keys (already present in some alternative NFO viewers)
- centered view of file contents (really reasonable for a lot of (most?) NFO files, and much better than "Auto Window Width" option)

Is there possibility to have such functionality in future version?

regards
Pirx

PS. I noticed that there is "NFOPad request" topic already present in this forum, so I posted my request there. I see it was not bumped, so I'm creating a new topic.

Hi, thanks for your feedback
- direct scrolling
Not a bad idea, I'll add it to the wishlist.

- centered view of file contents
I'm not sure I follow you here. Do you mean an option to automatically scroll the text vertically to center it upon opening the file..?

Thank you for the fast reply.

I have on mind horizontal centering of contents. It does not make sense for file editing, but for viewing mode would be really welcome, while most of NFO files don't contain a very long lines (many of them have even fixed line length), and panoramic screens are common nowadays. If I'm still not clear, please check another NFO viewer called iNFekt ( http://code.google.com/p/infekt/ ) - in Settings -> General -> Advanced (button), there is option "Use centered NFO view". Green screenshot on iNFekt project page ( http://i.imgur.com/hOKRK.png ) shows what I mean.

I like NFOPad because it's clean (well designed interface, not bloated) and provides most of the functionality I need.

Ah, yes I meant horizontally. I see what you mean now, it doesn't look to bad, I'll make a note.
