Hector Gomez FileLister 3.0 2011-04-08 18:50:25
Outstanding application: elegant, small and easy, but...

I have a problem with the file time infomation displayed. I get a time shift of 5 hours over the time that is reported by Windows, for example:

With the DOS comand dir I get this result:

C:\Users\gomezhec>cd C:\Program Files\Filelister

C:\Program Files\Filelister>dir
Volume in drive C is PC COE
Volume Serial Number is 84C2-F6CA

Directory of C:\Program Files\Filelister

08/04/2011 10:35 .

05/01/2008 13:59 40,960 filelister.dll

06/01/2008 12:51 2,275 readme.txt

5 File(s) 401,851 bytes
2 Dir(s) 56,776,974,336 bytes free

While I get this one with FileLister:

Filelister 3.0

Summary of path: C:\Program Files\Filelister

4 readme.txt 06/01/2008 17:51
5 uninstall.exe 08/04/2011 15:35

I have Windows Vista Enterprise SP2 installed and I libe en Mexico City (time zone GMT-06:00), could any of these circumstances be involved in the time reults I am getting? Is there any workaround available or a configuration change I could make in order to overcome this problem?

Thanks in advance and congratulations for a very cute program!!! Go on.

Hello and thank you very much!

I will add this to the list of things to fix before releasing. It might be due to your time zone settings, but I hav eto review and see whether I can replicate your errors. Could you possibly compare these filedates that you get in DOS to the ones that are displayed in your explorer view. If the explorer times corresponds to Fileliester's one then this shouldn't be an error. I'm not sure on how DOS resolves date and time so if you can see any differences here please let me know.
